I had to smile to hold back tears, because watching him grow from the background over the years has been so much fun. Thomas and my little family attended church together years ago, and I can remember meeting him for the first time. He had just gotten saved, and I had never in my life met someone so on fire for God—soaking up every bit of knowledge and wisdom he could possibly find.
I am so happy he found a beautiful soul to call his, and his hers. She is equally as amazing and outgoing, and they are the perfect match.
It was a complete and total honor to be able to photograph their celebration of love.
When I first met Thomas' beautiful bride-to-be, we had to laugh. "Name twins", she called us. And I'll admit it was quite the ordeal on their wedding day. Every time I heard someone yell "Amy" I quickly turned to see where I was needed...but they weren't calling for me at all. Every time I laughed. Every single time.
While it was a rainy day (because we've had 2 straight weeks of rain here in Virginia), it turned out to be a beautiful ceremony and reception. The rain stopped long enough for us to get some photos outside, and they lived happily ever after :).
Here is their wedding story in photos....
